Safety first!

Exp was presented with the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA) Award of Excellence for 2013. The award, presented at the Association's annual meeting on February 14, recognizes companies who have gone above and beyond the normal requirements for the Certificate of Recognition Program to ensure that all employees are trained and familiar with workplace safety.

Engineering News Record (ENR) Southeast has announced the winners of the annual Top 20 Under 40 and Brandon Lemonier, project manager at our Maitland, FL office, is among them. Brandon has worked in the industry for nearly 13 years helping clients deliver successful projects.

Building Bridges

2013/01

The Wisconsin Ave./Juneau Ave. Bridges over the Milwaukee River project has won a Special Achievement Award at the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois' 42st annual Engineering Excellence Awards Competition. The bridges, located in downtown Milwaukee, WI, were designed by exp using hydraulic and electrical control systems resulting in state-of-the-art vertical lift bridges.

Maple Leaf Gardens was once the heart of a neighborhood. But when the Toronto Maple Leafs left, it took a toll and the building fell into disrepair. It took a massive effort to rebuild history and give it a new lease on life.

Exp's award-winning services are concrete

2012/11

The 2012 Ontario Concrete Awards have recognized the Maple Leaf Gardens and Whole Foods Square One projects - two projects in which exp served as the Engineer of Record.

The Concrete Awards honor the vision and creativity of architects, contractors, concrete producers, engineers and owners that use concrete to design and construct creative projects in Ontario.

The Maple Leaf Gardens, which used 37 different concrete mixes, won the awards' Specialty Concrete Applications category.

The award for Material Development & Innovation went to the Whole Foods Square One project for utilizing a low shrinkage architectural concrete polished to expose the decorative specialty at the surface.
